Established by Ordinance through Zoning, Chapter 500 (§500-137) to promote the protection of certain architecturally, historically and archaeologically significant structures, sites or districts for the general welfare of its citizenry. The purpose of this seven member Commission is to promote architecturally, historically and archaeolgically significant districts and/or buildings, designate local landmarks and assist in making applications for State and Federal designations.
