Vote By Mail

Release Date: October 05, 2006

Under New Jersey Election Laws, a registered voter who wishes to vote by mail in the upcoming General Election on November 7, 2006 may do so by applying for an absentee ballot.  Absentee Ballot Applications by Mail must be received by the County Clerk on or before October 31, 2006.  Forms can be obtained on this site (please click on "Forms & Documents"), in the Township Clerk's office or from the Passaic County Clerk's office.  Simply follow the instructions to complete the form and mail the completed form to the address on the application.  Prior to election day, you will receive your ballot in the mail.  Persons who apply for an Absentee Ballot must vote by Absentee Ballot.  Completed absentee ballots must be received by the County Clerk before 8:00 p.m. on the day of the election.

Any civilian absentee voter who fails to apply by mail for an absentee ballot by October 31st for the General Election may apply in person to the County Clerk up to 3:00 p.m. on November 6, 2006 (the day before the election).  Completed absentee ballots must be received by the County Clerk before 8:00 p.m. on the day of the election.
