"Rediscover West Milford" Bus Tours this Saturday

The West Milford Environmental Commission and the West Milford Heritage Committee have teamed up for the second year in a row to sponsor the "Rediscover West Milford" bus tours. This Saturday, October 11th during the Autumn Lights Festival three tours will be offered to the public free of charge. The first tour, starting at 11am, will focus on the "Wetlands of West Milford." Led by local wetlands expert, Dr. Les Lynn, the tour will travel to several sites revealing some of the Township's unique natural features. The second tour, starting at 12:30pm, will travel to a number of the special historic sites around town and will be led by the Township historian, Jim Van Hooker. The final tour at 2pm will feature the "Geology of West Milford" and will be led by local hydrogeologist Tom Fowler. Each tour will last approximately one hour and will depart from and return to the Township Museum, located across the street from Town Hall. Seating is limited to 20 people for each tour.
